Invitation to an Exclusive Workshop with Joanna Pottle

We are thrilled to extend an invitation to you for a great learning experience! Join us for a special workshop hosted by Joanna Pottle, an American visual artist, researcher, educator and writer. Joanna will share about her artistic process and professional path(s) she has undergone, particularly since she moved to Poland in 2019 through The Fulbright Program and working transnationally through interdisciplinary work and projects. She will also demonstrate and invite attendees to participate in a creative exercise that illustrates ways in which she intersects her research interests with her studio practice. Participants are warmly invited to take active part in the workshop through engaging also through questions and discussion.

About Joanna Pottle 

Joanna Pottle is an American artist, educator, researcher, writer, and cross-cultural exchange facilitator based in Kraków, Poland. She is an alumnae of U.S. Fulbright Program alumnae to Poland, the Kosciuszko Foundation and Humanity in Action. Joanna has worked and exhibited internationally.

Her studio practice combines abstract mixed media techniques including painting, printmaking, drawing, and installations and her research includes investigations of mapping, public art and space, contemporary art, post-colonial and post-soviet/communist studies, collective memory and shame, (re)negotiation of previously untold or unheard narratives, tangible and intangible cultural heritage, collective memory and identity, cross-cultural dialogue and exchange, peace-building, and active listening practices.
